INA BERNIECE PFEIFER (nee NORMAN) 1934 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Pfeifer, our dear sister, aunt and friend, on November 11, 2008. Ina is survived by her loving sisters Edith Petursson and Hellen Brown; sisters-in-law Mary Norman, Chloe Norman and Gertie Dowling; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who to her were more like her own children. Ina was predeceased by her husband Rudy; her parents, Claude and Bertha Norman; sisters, Ragna, Irene, and Marion; and her brothers, Gilmore, Bertram, Walter and Robert. Ina was born in Eriksdale, MB on September 20, 1934 and was raised in Mulvihill, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in 1952 and worked most of her adult life as a supervising office clerk in the personal lines department at Commercial Union and Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company. She was an independent, courageous, strong, fun loving and generous woman who was cherished by her extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially by her dog, Mandy (her little sweetheart ). In lieu of flowers, donations in Ina's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermott Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Lane. Interment of ashes will immediately follow the service.
